Katrina Kaif is an Indian actress of British origin who predominantly works in the Hindi film industry. She is the recipient of several accolades including four Filmfare Award nominations. Kaif was born in Hong Kong and before shifting to London she has lived in several countries. As a teenager, she received her first modeling assignment. While doing a fashion show, she attracted the attention of filmmaker Kaizad Gustad who offered her a role in the English-Hindi erotic heist film ‘Boom.’ She made her appearance in the first Kingfisher Calendar after getting noticed as a model during Indian Fashion Week. Following this, she began endorsing popular brands like Samsung, Coca-Cola, LG, and Fevicol. In 2004, Kaif acted in the Telugu film ‘Malliswari,’ and in 2005, she acted in the political thriller ‘Sarkar.’ Following this, Kaif appeared in films like ‘Maine Pyaar Kyun Kiya?’ ‘Humko Deewana Kar Gaye,’ ‘Namastey London,’ ‘Apne,’ ‘Partner,’ and ‘Welcome.’ Her 2019 film ‘Bharat’ became one of the highest-grossing films of the year.
